Every saddle starts with the horse's back and the rider's build, not a catalog size. Tree shape, bar spread, and seat size are worked out with meticulous care and detail.
Floral carving is laid out and cut with a swivel knife, geometric and border stamps are done one at a time — no presses, no shortcuts. It's slow work, and it shows in the finished piece.
Heavy skirting leather, high quality sheepskins, mule-hide wrapped horns — the parts that take the abuse are built heaviest. This is a saddle meant to be ridden, not displayed.
